MEALS AT SCHOOL
All EYFS/Key Stage 1 pupils – Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, are entitled to a free school lunch each day as part of the Universal Free School Meal offer. This lunch can be a hot meal, jacket potato or sandwich of choice and the school catering services ensures that this is a well-balanced, nutritional meal.
Allergies and dietary requirements will be accommodated.
For our Key Stage 2 children, the school has the facilities for children to bring either a packed lunch from home or pay for a school meal. The price of a school meal is currently £2.40 per day. Each pupil has a ParentPay account which must be activated by their parent/carer in order to add credit to their account and pay for their school meals. Please contact Mrs Bellis at the school office for information or support with ParentPay.
School meals must be paid for as they are taken, as the School Meals Catering Services are contracted to provide them and they do not operate in arrears.
Mrs Culleton, the school cook, is happy to deal with any queries relating to school meals.
Packed lunches must be brought into school in a suitable container, ideally marked with your child’s name. For safety reasons, fizzy canned drinks and hot drinks are not permitted.

No distinction is made at lunchtime between those children who receive a free school meal and those who pay.
We encourage all parents who think that they may qualify for free school meals to apply for them, even if your child does not intend to take the meal. This may seem a little strange, but registering can make a big difference to the amount of money given to the school to educate your child.
School operates staggered lunchtime eating arrangements, which allows children to sit with their friends, chat socially and generally enjoy being together.
