Head Teacher's Welcome

Welcome to St Stephen's Catholic Primary School.  We serve the communities of Longford and Orford.  Our parish church is just next door.  We are a Catholic School where the gospel values included in our Mission Statement are at the heart of all we do.

As we come to the end of the school year and my time here, I would like to thank all the staff, children, parents, governors and parishioners for all their support during my time with you. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at St Stephen's and I have been made most welcome by everyone, including the other Catholic Headteachers in the Warrington area. I am going to miss you all!

I wish all the Year 6 every best wish for their new lives in secondary school. You will all do very well and I look forward to hearing great things about you.

I wish Mrs Hardman great success in her new job as Deputy Headteacher at St Alban's, Warrington. I know you will enjoy the challenges of the job and I know they will appreciate all the skills and experience you have to offer.

I'm not going back to Wigan but I'm moving on, to a school in St Helens for a year. If they make me feel half as welcome as the St Stephen's Community I will be a happy person!

St Stephen's is a fantastic school. Look after it for me!
